Teflon Diaphragm

A Teflon diaphragm, or PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) diaphragm, is a type of diaphragm used in various industrial applications, particularly in situations where chemical resistance and high purity are essential. PTFE is a synthetic fluoropolymer known for its excellent chemical resistance, thermal stability, and non-stick properties. These characteristics make PTFE diaphragms suitable for use in corrosive environments, as well as in applications where cleanliness and purity are critical.

Here are some key features and applications of Teflon diaphragms:

Chemical Resistance: PTFE is highly resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including strong acids, bases, and many organic solvents. This chemical resistance makes PTFE diaphragms well-suited for use in chemical processing and the handling of aggressive fluids.

High Purity: PTFE is a non-reactive and non-contaminating material. Therefore, PTFE diaphragms are often used in industries where maintaining product purity is crucial, such as in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and food processing industries.

Thermal Stability: PTFE has excellent thermal stability, withstanding a broad temperature range from cryogenic temperatures to high temperatures without significant degradation. This makes PTFE diaphragms suitable for applications in extreme temperature environments.

Non-Stick Properties: PTFE is non-stick and has a low coefficient of friction, which can be advantageous in applications where cleanliness and minimal adhesion of materials are important.

Biocompatibility: PTFE is biocompatible, which makes it suitable for use in medical devices and applications involving contact with biological fluids.

Sealing and Isolation: PTFE diaphragms are used in diaphragm valves, pumps, and other devices to provide effective sealing, control, and isolation of fluids and gases.

Corrosion Resistance: PTFE diaphragms are highly resistant to corrosion and are often used in aggressive chemical environments.

Durability: PTFE diaphragms are known for their durability and long service life when used in appropriate applications.

PTFE diaphragms are available in various shapes and sizes to suit different equipment and application requirements. They are commonly used in diaphragm valves, pumps, regulators, and other fluid-handling devices where precise control, chemical resistance, and purity are essential. When using PTFE diaphragms, it's important to follow manufacturer recommendations for proper installation and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

We are specialised in Teflon Rubber Diaphragms (0.25mm, 0.5mm, 1.00mm lining thickness). We also off pure PTFE Rigid Diaphragms (up to 3mm thickness)  for all kind of pumps, actuators & valves used in critical corrosive applications such as Extremely Chemically Resistant, Extremely Heat Resistant, Extremely Steam Resistant, Lowest Coefficient of Friction,Partially Flexible, Non-Toxic, Odourless & Tasteless, Can Be Sterilized, Steam-Proof, FDA Approved for Food Applications. We, Rico Rubber used for manufacture of PTFE Diaphragms with neoprene, EPDM, Butyl & Hypalon.

We design, develop, prototype PTFE Diaphragms as per client requirements/service conditions.
